Shelter and community clients, as well as 24-hour crisis line callers are given information regarding medical, legal, child care, housing and other services available in the community. Every effort is made to facilitate linkages to other agencies and organizations.
TCWC maintains contacts with many social service agencies throughout the area specifically, and the state generally. Contacts are used to facilitate the coordination and delivery of needed services.
Referrals are made on a regular basis to DES Family Assistance, DES Day Care, Child Protective Services, Job Services, La Frontera, Southern Arizona Mental Health, Family Counseling Agency, Southern Arizona Legal Aid and Victim Witness for legal and law enforcement assistance, Tucson Urban League, PPEP, Salvation Army, Tucson Metropolitan Ministry, Traveler's Aid, Nosotros, Casa de los Ninos and other state shelters. |
